The Hartford race was intense. Two of our teams placed in the top 8, A Division. An excellent result considering that everyone on Boat #2 only started paddling this year. Our number 1 boat missed out on winning by just a few feet. The finish of that race was amazing.
Despite the rain and cold of Saturday morning, I did manage to make some progress on the Baby Barbie Blanket. It still looks the same, but the light pink section is just a bit longer than it was on Friday. During dinner on Saturday night, I made a mistake. The fact that I made a mistake in a garter stitch blanket is an indication of my fatigue. Dragon boat racing is hard work, both mentally and physically.
The acrylic I brought with me never made it out of the bag. You’re just going to have to wait a day or two for the story behind it.
