I took a walk after the conference tonight. The Pentagon Memorial was beautifully done, but the Air Force Memorial took my breath away. Absolutely stunning. Difficult to get to on foot but so worth the effort.
I got there after 6 and when the guard stepped out of the guard house, I thought I was going to get shooed away. Instead he handed me a brochure and thanked me for coming to visit.

Wow, that is breathtaking in your picture. I can’t imagine how it must be in real life.
I like it up close, but from a distance, it looks disturbingly like the rest of the construction cranes dotting the horizon.
