Closing Ceremonies

Happy JAMAICA PLAIN, MA  (February 26, 2006) —
The KKOC pronounces the Knitting Olympics a success!  Closing Ceremonies held in a local park.

On a crisp and clear Sunday afternoon, the KKOC, along with the knathletes of Bluehats Team Dulaan, Team Mongolia, and Team Boston celebrated the Nonbluehatssuccessful completion of the Knitting Olympics.  “It was a struggle,” said the KKOC spokesperson.  “After Samus and Tintagel had to pull out, the Stash did an excellent job of stepping in and picking up the slack.  There are 16 more hats headed off to Mongolia.  We are thrilled with the gold medal result.”

Happy1 The Closing Ceremonies featured a modern dance interpretation on the theme Happy2 “Winter Joy” by local canine celebrity Java.  “The Olympics were a lot longer than I thought,” she said through an interpreter.  “I’m glad they are over.  Now that my coach has some free time again, I can get back to my training for the daily Doggie Games.”
