Subway Crocheter

Boston.  Here, the urban rails are populated by a wide variety of creatures.  Readers and iTuners are common sightings.  But if one knows where to look and can spot the tell-tale signs (bag of yarn in the lap, ‘twitching’ hands) you may be rewarded with catching a subway knitter/crocheter in the wild.  You must look carefully, since the untangling of mp3 player earphones looks suspiciously like knitting.

Finally, after months of patient observation, a confirmed sighting of the elusive Subway Crocheter.  The habits of the rare, but more common, Subway Knitter have been well documented.  Both of these creatures are rare, to the average observer they appear to be quiet and withdrawn, but when approached and addressed in their own fiber language they are known to be friendly and loquacious.
