G is for Gore Place

I have a soft spot for the Gore Place Sheep Shearing Festival. A few years ago, it was the first “fiber festival” I ever attended. My favorite bit is the Herding Demo. It’s amazing to watch the dogs work. They are so intense, and yet their moves are so delicate and calculated.  More photos in my Gore Place Flickr set.

And yes, the yarn diet was broken.

I better start knitting again.

  1. The herding is my favorite part of my local sheep and wool festival, which, for better AND for worse is Maryland S&W.

  2. Oh, and what did you buy?

  3. Inquiring minds would like to see the purchases, please. 🙂
