Sheep are cool

Yesterday, I pointed Ginnie the Jeep west on the Mass PIke and we headed out to the Big E for the New England Fiber Festival.

The farther west we got, the more the tree damage became apparent. Wild to see the blow downs from the tornado, the trees stripped bare of foliage (tornado or Irene?) and the recent fall downs from Snotobermageddon. Must have been terrifying to drive the Pike last Saturday night, so many trees were down by the side of the road. Mother Nature is not to be messed with.

The FFNE was wonderful. It’s still small, but that’s only because they are in their second year, but it was great to see so many farms present their wares. I didn’t buy any yarn, but I did to research. Found some fantastic farms that I will buy from in the future (once I clear out the stash).

I did buy fiber for spinning and soaps (for gifts) and books and another JessaLu bucket bag. One can never have too many JessaLu bucket bags.

  1. I LOVED the sheep Jessalu bag, but somehow I managed to resist it.

I really loved the festival – that it was not a mob scene and of a size that you could digest it in a single day.

    • Me too! by the time I completed my circuit and made it back to Spunky’s booth it was gone. Had to “settle” for the Starry Night Tardis bag. 😉

  2. I’m so behind on blogs – so glad you found a bag you could love! :))
