The end of an era

The neighborhood where I live has tons of murals. It also has at least one commercial landlord who is a real jerk.  All those ‘Whose Foods’ people should have protested this.

This mural was in Hyde Square. On the side of the building that housed Bella Luna. The same landlord jacked up the rent and forced Bella Luna to move. Years later, the place is still vacant. This mural, with all it’s vibrancy and variety is now gone. It was one of my favorites as it really summed up the flavor of the neighborhood.

In 2006, I did a photo tour of the JP Murals. I’m thinking I need to do another one.

  1. It’s gone? That bites. I loved that mural.
